Hot Tub Wiring in Bismarck, ND
A dedicated, GFCI-protected circuit sized and installed to code.
or dial 701-400-8990
A hot tub is one of the few things a homeowner buys that comes with its own electrical requirements printed on the box. It needs a dedicated 240V circuit, GFCI protection, a disconnect within sight of the tub but not too close, and burial or conduit run from the panel to the pad. We handle the whole run so the tub is ready to fill the day it is delivered, and so it passes inspection.
What this covers
- Dedicated 240V (and 120V where required) spa circuits
- GFCI spa disconnect installed at the required distance
- Conduit or direct-burial runs from panel to pad
- Panel capacity check before the tub is ordered
- Bonding of the tub, pad and nearby metal per code
- Permit and inspection handled as part of the job
Before the tub arrives
- Check the panel first. A 50 or 60 amp spa circuit on a full 100 amp service may mean a panel upgrade is part of the project.
- Decide the pad location with the electrical run in mind. A longer run is fine; it just needs to be planned.
- Have the spa manual or spec sheet handy. Amperage and GFCI requirements vary by model.
- Do not let the delivery crew wire it. Most will not, and the ones who will are the ones who should not.
